Oops…butterfingers. I was about to listen to Deep Purple’s Perfect Strangers, then this happened, slipped straight out of my clumsy hands. This has never happened before. I’m always very careful with my records, not today though. I’ll have to buy another copy off of eBay now. Damned nuisance, I’m kicking myself on this one.View attachment 23386
Replacement ordered and on way.

Good, it’s still a reasonable price. At least it was last year for me. I want to get In Rock, I never had it.

Yeah, great album, I have a first pressing and you can still pick them up pretty cheap in excellent condition. There are a hell of a lot of them still out there which keeps the prices down relative to what people mean by cheap these days.I’m looking at one now on eBay, first one up 1st press £11.99 plus£3.99p+p. That’s a great price for today, but then you’ve got some that are £35,another one for 64.99, then you go further down and £130.00 for the exact same copy, I don’t care if it’s mint condition, it’s a greedy bastard, trying to rip the shit out of it. Always some dope that has to spoil it by being greedy.

ps. I’ve just had a proper look at what he’s graded that £130, it’s not even mint, it’s near mint and the cover is graded only excellent. Unreal.

This morning I’m listening to the Canadian band, April Wine, “Work All Day” from the album “On Record”
Good rock sound of a song, reminds me of a lot of bands from that time.

Here’s an English group, they didn’t last long. Leafhound-Growers of Mushrooms album. I’ve got a copy; unfortunately, I only have it on the Akarma label, and a really bad recording of it too, now if I had it on the original Decca label, that would be a different matter, as the last time one came up on EBay, it sold for £4000, yeah, I know, but that was ages ago, it’s only skyrocketing up. There was a Decca copy on Record Originals that had a price of £11,000. That is fucking nuts. I don’t know how recent that is, but if one came up today, it would be a higher price.

Damn the most I’ve paid recently for a record was right under 100$

Yeah…that’s a ridiculous amount of money. Repertoire Records have rereleased the album, which can be picked up online for £25, don’t know what that is in Canadian, but it’s still a better deal than 11 grand.
