Is the name an anagram for apeshit or shitape?
Welcome!
My family used to have a summer house in Lake Ozark on the quiet side, until they put in a toll bridge and party cove moved one cove away.
Driving an hour for groceries was a normal thing then too.

A quick valid blurb actually make it enjoyable for members to look/read your post, even if it's just a simple "hi". I've never been in the Missouri Ozarks, but I guess the closest I've ever been was in Kansas City several years ago.

I think some time next year or so I may do some driving down into the southern part of America and may drive through the Ozarks. Maybe if I can, I might actually take some pictures of niggers and surrounding cities and share them on this forum, so we can learn/see how the nigger situation down in the southern parts of America looks like.

Totally different - on the week days - glass is slick calm, great fishing, or just peace and quiet.
Huge lake, beautiful , clean air, friendly people.
You ought to go sometime. Weekends it's gets noisy from the out of town people.
On the plus side - there used to be no blacks. For some reason, they don't feel welcome, and The Ozarks are home to many species of fish and exotic water fauna, but not the Rock Fish.

We have one black. He is adopted and always seems to have a police escort in town. Everyone knows who he is.
Probably the Confederate flags that keep them at bay.
I am in the woods on the lake. Nice and quiet.

I use to live at MM 14 off a back cove. That was many years ago, and there was nothing but woods.
The nearest Grocery/Gas Station/Pharmacy/Food Joint / Trash Drop off was a gas station in Laurie. If you forgot your wallet or didn't have enough to pay - you could go back later and pay them, Everyone knew each other, and it was a friendly community.
Also had some distant family family in the Amish community near Gravois Mills,
so ended up being roped into whatever construction project they had - which is never-ending with those people.
After returning from Africa and basically 4 1/2 years of combat deployment, I went into the community for 2 months, to clear my head.
I was welcomed as I speak the language, and not regarded as an Englishman and known prior to the community.
They had vans, power tools and cell phones (for emergencies), but it was a quiet purposeful and rewarding existence they had.
Plus is was like the foreign kid in class (despite being German), 22 (marrying age) and had the eye of almost every girl there (I was good looking then lol).
I was tempted to stay, and very welcomed to, but didn't as I had not disconnected from my time in service (went back for another 4 years deployment - bad mistake). I could have easily entered a happy life there.
I will be visiting there to see old friends next month in the community, and plan on a short holiday to Branson, and I want to go to Silver Dollar City to watch old time crafting, and seeing Dolly Parton's Christmas Show, but sadly never seem have time to see Yakov Smirnoff (Yeah - he is actually still around). What A Tragedy.
It will be nice to see the beautiful country again, and those who have never been - you ought to go, it can be as expensive or cheap as you want, but always a great trip. Plus - blacks are still uncommon there, which makes it better.

With little or no blacks, perhaps it is best to consider the ozarks for retirement.

I am near there on the water. They are Mennonite not Amish. Amazing people.

Actually thinking about it it was past Versailles, and past Gravois mills - there you could not speed, even had a big white sign and was the worst speedtrap in the nation at one time.
There are a lot of Mennonite there, Versailles was mostly Mennonite, there is a small settlement northwest of there, that's where my distant family was and about 6-7 farms.
My Great Grandmother was one, and Great Greatfather was Amish, and was one of the founders of Argyle, with his dad and grandfather in the list for founding WestPhalia and Koeltztown. There is another settlement south of Mack's Creek.
Most have moved either north or around other communities like Jonesburg, or Moberly.
If people have moved, I will travel and visit.
I was in Yoder, Kansas yesterday visiting some friends in that community, and they are pretty good about tracking down if people have moved and to where. They seem a little more tight knit than mennonites, and huderites.
I went to visit the meat market there, and couldn't leave without buying a ton of meat, preserves and sausages, which most of my friends daughters were working there (mostly playing on iphones), and you shouldn't pass their house and not say hello, so it always becomes a social event versus just grabbing a few things.

It is a safe and crimeless community, minus almost getting run over by teenage girls on tractors.

The religions are basically the same, aside for allowance of technology, slight difference in dress, but mennonites have a church, whereas amish host it in someone's house - like a round robin. Amish still tend to use buggies more.

This has also been about 30 years, and I look forward to going back, but am pretty sure I wouldn't recognize anything anymore.

I remember the Gas Station name - Laurie Market - what a goldmine business that was.
Camdenton was "the big city" at 30 minutes away and you only traveled to Lake Ozark if you needed the hospital.
In an ambulance - if you survived the sudden hills and bounces ,and hairpin turns for the hour drive - there is a good chance you were going to make it and be just fine.

In Yoder I thought you were Yoda, someone said you've been around a while.

You know the area well. The ride to town is absolutely true. I am 20 from Versailles and 40 from Lake Ozark. MM7

Welcome Tihsepa! Please share some of your encoonters with us. It helps us keep up with what those apes do. They might be stupid but they're innovators when comes to hustling, crime and mayhem. It's good to hear these stories.

New here. Was instructed to tell why I don’t like niggers but I don’t want to crash the server with a massive list.
