I finished watching an on demand documentary called “How (Not) to Build A School in Haiti.” Recommend it if you have two hours to kill.
Summary: a good Colorado retired liberal contractor decided to raise funds to build a school in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. He gets the money, heads down there and - you guessed it - it all goes off the rails. No one has decent building skills, workers not working, graft, shit materials, spooks lying, accusations of him being a colonial master, etc., etc. I was really hoping he was going to drop a nigger bomb and storm off - looked like it at times.
This crappy building gets built with only cinder blocks, tin roof and smaller than planned. Total cost = $150K.
The funny thing? This fool actually moves to Haiti and starts building more schools! Some libs are just gluttons for punishment.
The camera work of the country is appalling. Looks like any more earthquake damage would only do tens of dollars of damage.
