MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An argument over money and an EBT card ended in the shooting death of one man, Memphis Police say.

Cordero Hogg, 27, is charged with first-degree murder, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm in commission of a dangerous felony.

In court Monday, Hogg had a public defender assigned and found out he could be given life in prison if convicted.

According to police, Hogg attacked the victim at a Raleigh detail shop where they both worked.

Donald Parris, the owner of Genesis Detail Shop, recalls the moment that left him trying to get out of harm’s way. “It was two members of my team. Five shots. We heard it because you could hear the echo from the bay.”
