Red herring. It doesn't matter because normally it is the port authority who has it's own pilots at the ruder from the port to the open waters and vice-versa.

There is a fast-forward version somewhere about the incident - of this video in 4x speed. At that speed you can see there are multiple power failures, plus black smoke coming out indicating an engine problem.Shortly before the impact the ruder seem to work again and there is a swift direction change towards the channel but it's far too late and then the ship impacts on the bridge

Play at 2x or faster because the maneuvers are easier to recognize (and it's faster to go through)

Power failure at 1:23

Power going up at 2:20
Ship steering towards the pillar

2:34 thick black smoke exiting the ship's chimney

Ship still steering off the channel and now directly "aiming" at the pillar... and at that exact moment...
3:27 second power outage the moment the ship "aims" directly at the pillar

3:58 some emergency power going up again, but there are far less lights on than before, final moments before impact
ship is still steering towards the pillar as if a perfect collision course had been set minutes ago

until 5:30 -> ship steered towards and is now navigating directly towards the pillar
5:30 ship tries to violently turn to the left (aka port side) but it's far to late. Apparently crew/maritime pilots lost control of the ship until that final moment.

5:32 impact

Freak accident or Russian hackers IDK but the gov will certainly find a way to invade your "safe space" to protect you from anything, even bad weather (+1,5°C) in the comming century you won't witness (by taking all away that you have).

My research....

The black smoke was caused by an emergency power reverse.

They should have installed blocking barriers.

One of the captains is Ukrainian.
