Gitchu an IPA. Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas, Jai Alai, Goose Island, Voodoo Ranger, Kona Gold Cliff, all good starting points. Anything 6 or 7 percent abv. Then work your way up to the 8-10 range. Trappistes Rochefort, Voodoo Ranger Juice force or Imperial, Tropical Beer Hug, anything by Sixpoint brewery (Resin IIPA is a favorite of mine). Sour Monkey by Victory Brewing is pretty decent.

But if you wanna start with regular ales and lagers (4-6%) then I'd say Mexican is the way to go, save for Corona. Modelo, Presidente, Tecate, Sol, etc, all good beers. Becks is pretty half decent too. They follow German purity laws. Peroni also comes to mind, Heineken is alright but a bit niggery. (Every time I see a nigger drinking beer it's either Heineken or 211s)

If the hard stuff is more your style, whiskey is definitely the way to go. Can't go wrong with a good bourbon. Makers Mark, Bullet, Gentleman Jack (not regular Jack Daniels), Woodford.. once you get used to it try some Scotches, Scotch is definitely an acquired taste but worth acquiring.
Hope this helps some, happy drinking brother!

I rarely drink at bars anymore. When I did it was usually Yuengling lager or Pilsner. Weddings or funerals a shot of Jamison's or a gin and tonic.
Gin and tonic! that'll put some hair on your chest. Aviation gin is my go to, but Hendrick's is easily my favorite. i worked at a bar a while back and discovered the best way to make a gin and tonic is to add a little St Germain to it. just about half a shot or so, the elderflower complements the botanicals in the gin pretty nicely.

lol no no I'll take that 🤣👌 i worked at a bar a while back and one of the female bartenders got me on it. definitely fagging it up a little but damn if it isn't good!
but i guess the origins of my floral affinity came from back in the day when i was super into smoking hookah. i used to make custom shisha blends and got good enough at it that my other smoking buddies would buy my blends off me. but my signature move was to add a tiny bit of Al Fakher rose flavor to every batch. not enough to overpower, but just enough to be a little more than noticable. i barely ever smoke anymore but i guess that flowery stuff stuck with me over the years
