Worst part (maybe): there are only enough raw materials in the world to build around 25 million electric cars with these batteries. Mama said her country should have 15M electric cars, and no more other cars at all. I seriously doubt that there will be enough money for that many electric cars, especially without any economy and no healthy working population (all will be either sick or unemployed). And electricity consumption would be multiplied by X, we lack the necessary infrastructure (bigger cables and more power plants)... All true, these environmental nutbags don't see the lithium mines, pollution and destruction for their feel good "I Saved The Earth" vehicle.
As these things pile up and leave a much larger toxic mess, I am curious how they will justify it.
I have a friend who did the all solar, wind and battery to his home (as it was as much cheaper than installing a line to his house). He regrets it, as it is constant maintenance, piles and piles of dead batteries, dead solar cells , damaged ones (from hail), and all the invertors he has wired. He can't sell his house due to this either, as he will not lie about the upkeep and maintenance.

I said in a previous post how my father got a PRIUS, I relayed that the name is an acronym for "P.enis R.emoval I.s U.sually S.tandard" and aside from his "SMUG" pollution, his battery went out and would cost far more than what the car was worth to replace. So, he ditched it.

Realistically, if we wanted cheap, safe power - we would build Thorium Reactors, but we would have to invent another type battery to actually make this efficient. The overall concept is good, but we do not anything remotely viable to store the power, and conventional electric engines and power cons far outweigh the pros tenfold from an environmental standpoint alone, never mind the realistic viability.

Also, what most snowflakes eager to buy these cars don't realize is that fast-charging the battery creates enormous amounts of heat which additionally strains the durability of the battery. So, the faster you charge, the faster the battery goes down the shitter in the long run, and the poor operational range shrinks even more after the first few years.

This is especially bad in the US where distances are huge and there is no grid coverage like in Europe. So I guess they're gonna charge the cars with electricity produced through local generators running on fossil fuels? But that is totally inefficient and insane compared to running the cars on fossil fuels to begin with!

Personally, I was previously had excelled in the toughest trainings the military had to offer, 7 combat assignments, got out became a deep sea diver , did chemical and nuclear as well, and still push myself to do crap a 20 year old can't physically. I like offroading, fast cars, fast motorcycles, shooting guns, provision less hunting and camping, drinking a cold beer or some aged scotch or whiskey, as well as being refined doing it. I like a cigar, but not in some queer cigar bar, but bite off the end and smoke it with a nice full glass of scotch at the end of the day on the aforementioned hunting trip. I like women, and only women. Unlike these "modern" men who wear skinny, bedazzled jeans, drinking some complex girl drink, or Frappuccino while discussing their "bromance" and connecting with each other's feelings.

This is why I will not drive a hybrid, electric car or ride in one.

I don't care if gas gets to 50 bucks a gallon, I would rather ride a mountain bike than a prius.
