1984, Fahrenheit 451 and Animal Farm were all standard reading when I was in school. And that's back when books were made out of what we called "paper" and cars were made out of a substance called "metal". Yup, MTV had white people. Most importantly, people minded their own fucking business. And when members of a certain ethnicity caused problems, they just simply disappeared. It was great.

I just watched Animal Farm, (it has Patrick Stewart as the voice of Napoleon), the pigs were always changing the rules and narrative to benefit them. ex: so that they could live the good life in the farm house while the rest of the animals worked and lived in the barn. They had a propaganda manipulator just like Goebbels to spin anything they needed.

Orwell's books are directly inspired from his experiences in the spanish civil war. He knew important people everywhere, went to a lot of places and was highly educated too. There are no coincidences in his books.

It is a very slow but real and unexplained phenomenon! While humans are mostly dumbed down on purpose, brain size is shrinking slowly everywhere on the planet over the generations. No matter wether civilized or "savage" humans. In the original POTA book as in many sci-fi's of this era, the reason was a mysterious change in sun activity that caused humans to gradualy dumb down and apes to evolve into gentle giants.
