While the Lions left long ago, it appears former employees have continued to sack the Pontiac Silverdome.

Kissick told the Press former employees have taken home leather couches, television sets, granite counter tops and more. He's under investigation too, he said, because he's reported such thefts in recent years.

“They took tools, equipment furnishing, everything they could get their hands on. Then they went into the super suites and began dismantling them. Security called me and I told them I wasn’t there anymore and that they needed to call downtown.”

Leeb denied reports the stadium has been gutted, but said yesterday the Silverdome is currently under 24-hour security.

Tulsa-based auctioneer Williams & Williams put the Silverdome up on its Web site last month, and bidding closes next week Thursday.

Upkeep of the stadium costs cash-strapped Pontiac around $1.5 million annually.
