Anyway, while I don't know any furries personally, I find it ironic that they've become such objects of ridicule for dressing up in animal costumes (and sometimes having sex in them) -- while people who actually have sex with animals (coal burners and oildrillers) are shown in the media as "cool" and "hip." Last time I checked, furries weren't exponentially more likely to contract AIDS or be savagely beaten/killed by their partners...
