A personal note to all

Hello Chimpers,

Today is a sad one. My best friend's brother passed away 2 days ago and today was the last day of his wake. He was 54. Apparently he suffered a serious fall and hit his head, causing internal bleeding. He was also intoxicated and an alcoholic. As a recovering alcoholic myself, this is another sad reminder of what that evil can, and will, do to you. Anyone who may read this, and believe you may have a drinking problem, please seek help. Today over 200 people showed up at this man's wake. People had to wait in line to get in. And this was a man who believed no one cared. So remember, it is not just "your life" you are fuc*ing with, but keep in mind the others who will mourn you. A death that may not have been. Take care all.

My sympathies for your loss. Your message about seeking help for recovering from substance abuse is an important one. Myself, I've been known to drink hard liquor from a beer bong,and when you're a drinker of that caliber, you're bound to see people around you suffering from accidents like these. Any one of my friends could have had the same thing happen to him as your best friend's brother. A guy I know nearly bled to death,and did break his arm,from a drunken fall down about 5 stairs.

All it takes is one moment of carelessness and you could be snatched from this world and the people who love you.

That is very sad. I can not imagine loosing a sibling at such a young age. I am glad that you will be there to comfort your friend. I personally know how destructive alcohol can be not only to the alcoholic but to the friends and family as well. Take care during this difficult period. We will all have you in our thoughts.

Shoogafoot, if you're an R.A. then I would suggest organic psychedelics to help you overcome. Cannabis, Salvia, Mushrooms, Peyote (avoid Acid). All are non-toxic and non-addictive.

Especially cannabis. It's the best cure for hangovers and withdrawals. Truly it is god's gift to mankind.

I have never dabbled with drugs. And something tells me if I was to start now, my brain would quickly start telling me "DO THIS ALL THE TIME". I have an addictive personality. My fucking brain has some wiring issues!

If anyone is interested in strange facts, especially if you are a freak of nature left handed person like me, look up handedness and addiction. It is an interesting subject, and the subject I wrote a paper on many years ago.
