ST. LOUIS -- Prosecutors today charged a St. Louis man in the killing of a victim whose bullet-riddled body was found in the street last July.
Prosecutors today charged Alex Cameron Jordan, 18, of the 1400 block of Amherst Terrace, with second-degree murder, four counts of armed criminal action, assault, armed robbery and attempted robbery. He is being held on a $1 million, cash-only bond. His age was not immediately available.
Jordan is charged in the fatal shooting of Jamar Starks, 22, of the 8900 block of Edna Avenue, at 12:58 a.m. on July 23. Starks was shot multiple times. His body was discovered in the middle of Burd Avenue, near the intersection of Goodfellow and Page boulevards.
A second man -- who police have never identified -- was shot multiple times and he was found nearby -- at the intersection of Minerva and Clara avenues.
The second victim survived, police said.
Police said today that they believe the case was drug related.
