Arrest warrant issued in Tukwila shooting
An arrest warrant has been issued for Gary Lee Lipsey, the 28-year-old man suspected in the Monday shooting death of Kevin Camacho.
Camacho, 24, was shot to death at the Spruce Motel in Tukwila.
The warrant was issued in King County Superior Court for second-degree murder and first-degree assault.
Lipsey is believed to still be in the Puget Sound area, Tukwila police spokesman Mike Murphy said. The burgundy sedan he fled in was recovered Monday in Burien.
At 10:04 a.m. Monday, Camacho was standing in the first-floor doorway of his Spruce Motel room in the 14400 block of Tukwila International Boulevard. Lipsey, who was also staying at the motel, stood in the parking lot and fired five or six times.
Camacho was pronounced dead about 11 a.m. after being rushed to Harborview Medical Center.
