Jim Bakker has a new show out of Branson, MO that is basically a watered down version of the PTL club. His new wife is even from the Tammy mold, but without the extravagant make-up and water works.

He looks frailer now; but the sad thing is, he's still trying to solicit donations.

It really does resemble a cable access show. Pretty sad stuff.

Swaggart has been back for a while now, and is a hoot to watch, IMHO! I miss Gene Scott. He was a real hoot.
His radio broadcasts continued on short wave stations for about 10 months after his death.

Undertow, you read my mind. I was just about to paste the lyrics myself. I've been a huge Metallica fan for many years. Televangelists are simply despicable leeches that feed off of the weak minded and impressionable masses. I won't go off on a rant about organized religion, but people like Bakker are symptomatic of the inherent problem with it.

IT, I wondered what happened to Swaggart. What is really sad is the fact that these "pharisees" really take advantage of decent human beings who are Christians. I believe in karma, and God will indeed take care of such people as these.
