A Garland man was sentenced to life in prison Thursday for killing his girlfriend and her unborn child.

Ronnie Courtland Bass, 21, was convicted of murder and capital murder of a child in the July 2011 death of Decia Hartfield, who was 19 and pregnant when she was shot in the head in Bass’ apartment.

The capital charge carries an automatic life sentence, and Bass is not eligible for parole. He also agreed to a 30-year sentence in the murder of Hartfield. The cases will be served concurrently.

He's 21. This means he already has 6 or 7 other nigglets running around. Food stamps only go so far. He couldn't afford another nigglet. Of course my whole philisophy is based on the idea that he took care of the chillins he already had, and based on statistics we know that could not be further from the truth. So perhaps he just wanted to make the sow good. From a logical standpoint TNB always makes the most sense.
