Only $10K for bail. Think he's going to show up?BRIDGEPORT -- As soon as a city police officer heard the description of a man accused in a beating on Monday, he headed straight to Stone Ridge Road.
There, Officer Mark Blackwell found Aijahlon Tisdale, 18, the tall man with a burn mark on his face who a victim described after suffering cuts, bruises and a possible broken rib during a beating at the hands of a group including Tisdale near the Trumbull Gardens housing complex, police said.
Police spokesman William Kaempffer said the 28-year-old man and his 36-year-old brother, who was also beaten but refused medical treatment, described Tisdale as the "main attacker" in a group that surrounded them as they walked down the street.
Once Blackwell, the officer, heard the victim describe the assailant he realized it fit Tisdale. He then headed to the 18-year-old's home where he was arrested for first-degree assault.
His bond was set at $10,000.
