A schoolboy has been left fighting for his life after being stabbed on a bus in broad daylight.
Police were called just after 3pm to Highbury New Park, north London, after the boy, believed to be 15, was knifed on board a route 393 bus. Unconfirmed reports from eyewitnesses suggest the victim may be as young as 12.
The young victim was treated at the scene, near the junction of Holmcote Gardens, by paramedics and an air ambulance before being rushed to hospital.
He remains in a critical condition and the road was closed off this afternoon while police carried out investigations. There have been no arrests.
