I was eleven at the time so who the hell knows? Probably out in the neighborhood, hanging out with friends I was forbidden to play with, egging cars or something. I do remember however that I thought it weird somehow that both my parents were overly jubilant about someone gettin' croaked. I can remember my dad telling me to "get in the car boy" and driving me to an Italian stronghold suburb near Newark where there was a military issue jeep with a HUGE 50 cal and manned by some very well dressed gentlemen with crazy smiles and he told me they'd be "Puttin some spooks on the phone poles later" ,,,,,it always stuck with me and as I remember the niggers went completely wide berth around that neighborhood.

I remember staying up for the the moon walk and hearing Mr Armstrong talking. The nigger getting shot I don't remember at all.must not have been important to me. I remember my grandpaw talking about when he tried to march across the bridge in Charleston and all the whites were standing there with rifles and shotguns,and guys were on the factory roofs, also with guns (my grandpaw and dad too) and they forced them back across the river.
