At long last, it is over.

After backfilling the holes after my last encounter, sealing up the Legion of Doom Headquarters, there has been NO movement for some time.

No sightings.

No tracks.

No digging.

No nothing.

It appears that my aim was true. Darth Whistle Pig is no more.

In a last, desperate act of defiance, riddled with buckshot and filled with hate, the evil critter squirmed back down into the bowels of the Earth from which it was first coughed up.

It lay there long in its tunnels of black... filled with impotant rage and hate for the upper world, while his life force ebbed away. What was once his mighty redoubt became his tomb....

A worthy adversary he was. Evil and destructive, yes. But brave, in his fashion.

He will be remembered in song, much like the evil Grendel was in the sagas...

Son of Darth was not nearly the formidable adversary his daddy was... he was fast and wary, and I even saw him make a 4 foot jump into the entrance to The Legion of Doom Headquarters, but he didn't have his daddy's mojo.

This might be out of order with the previous post, but the old adage "Nature abhorrs a vaccuum" rings true.

Since the passing of Darth Whistlepig, our farm has been quiet. Not much going on...

THEN, within a span of 2 days, the surrounding critters decided to move the fuck in!

Spotted what I believe to be a BADGER in our east field. It was carrying around shit like sticks and old paper, presumeably to build a nest in our barn... caught in the open, I flipped a load of buckshot at it, but it ran off... too far away. Don't know if it ran off for good or is just holeing up...

LOOKIT this motherfucker!! This isn't the real badger in our field, just a file photo...

Then, I encountered Oatie 5.0.... the original was named Otis. He was a possum. Since the original Otis's untimely passing, we have encountered others... and now we're on Otis version 5.0.... caught in the open, but at night, I flipped a .22 round at it... but, it was by flashlight and Oatie 5.0 was running and I was running after him... probably a miss.

Then Son of Darth moved in to his daddy's digs.... I DON"T FUCKING THINK SO, SON!

The Legion of Doom Headquarters has since been resealed...
