Court documents show CPS workers found an unsavory scene when they entered the apartment.
"Drug paraphernalia was observed in the living room, bedroom and kitchen," CPS workers wrote in an abuse and neglect petition against Gatlin.
They reported finding "vomit in a garbage bin in the bathroom, feces in the bedroom, filthy sheets in the bedroom, trash/debris scattered on the floor, a large knife on the counter within reach of the child and cigarette butts and lighters on the floor of the bedroom and kitchen."
CPS workers described the conditions as unsafe and unsanitary.
They allegedly found a bong, blackened spoon with white residue on it and baggies in the home, court records show.
