Tranita "Tranny" Giles

A woman is facing a charge of attempted malicious wounding after police say she stabbed a man during a physical altercation Thursday.

According to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Duke Street in reference to a disturbance. Once on scene, they learned the victim and Tranita Giles were involved in a physical altercation.

Klink said the altercation escalated and Giles assaulted the victim with a knife. He suffered a cut on his arm.
