    Default Anyone here vape?

    As in, use the e-cigarettes...?

I'm a newbie, but have taken to it quickly; got off analogs in 4 days!

Just checking to see who else might be a vaper.

Oh, and if you are a vaper, PLEASE sign this petition:

    (Use a throwaway email addy...)

HNIC and its minions at the FDA want to ban them (just like everything else), so we need to tell them to

I tried electronic cigarettes. My experience was that the "batteries" (which cost over $9 each) would burn out real fast. For me, it was more expensive than regular smokes and just created a lot of frustration as they'd burn out at the most irritating times. I bought a portable charging case whereby I could carry a fully charged one with me and a few chargeable spares but even that proved frustrating as the batteries would only charge up well a few times and gradually become worthless- I'd switch out the batteries to an allegedly fully charged one only to have it only last a few puffs and then die.
I tried three different times with three different companies and had the same results with all of them.
My assessment? A good idea with piss poor execution. When and if they improve the batteries etc the idea may be worth it but as of right now, they need to go back to the drawing board.

I have one with a USB charger...I find the one I bought is too harsh. The only time I use it is during air travel.

Do you mind if I ask when this was?

I got a kit about 2 years ago, and experienced the exact same thing - gave up after a week. Towards the end of 2012, I decided I needed to get off the cigs; I did a bunch of research and asked a bunch of questions on ECF. I finally decided to pull the trigger 3 weeks ago and order up some more gear. Whoa! The difference was night and day! The newer gear is much more reliable and consistent. I'm getting huge plumes of vapor, and the batteries last a day or two on a full charge (and is supposed to last for 300 charge cycles). The battery I got has a USB cord for charging, but can also be used with the battery as a pass-through, so that I can vape while at the computer or in the car. I'm telling you, it's awesome!

Perhaps it is the juice you are using - apparently that's one of the things that is most individualized. So many flavors, nic strengths, PV/VG ratios, battery voltage, atomizer resistances, yada yada yada all interacting with each other to produce flavor/vapor that's just right for you.

Tomorrow will be one week off the analogs, and the transition was not too hard. I mean, I still get the craving for the death sticks, but I just hit the e-cig and vape on through to the other side. (I'm even getting some juice that has no nicotine, so I can vape when I have the urge, but don't need more nicotine.

If you would like to give it another try, I am happy to answer any questions you might have, or at least find you the answer from the most helpful folks at ECF.

Even if you don't get into it, maybe you could sign the petition anyway, so that those of us who do find benefit in vaping can keep doing it, and stop nigger shit ObrownMao from stamping out another freedom millions of Americans are safely enjoying. Thanks!

They let you use it on a plane? It's been brought up at my bar and I don't care but some of the cavemen who fear electrickery don't want me to allow it.

The last time I tried was about 5 months ago. I'd like to experience success with the e cigarettes but am now very wary of spending any more money on them.
On a side note, while using ecigs, I discovered that a few restaurants didn't want customers to use them because smokers of regular cigs would try to take advantage of the situation. You know how that goes- there's always a certain percentage of assholes who just have to ruin it for everyone else. One manager told me he didn't have time for his waitstaff to run around monitoring what was going on and dealing with the resulting bs. Additionally, there were customers who would freak out and complain about the ecigs because they thought the smoke was real and those complaints had to be dealt with as well. Even after explanations were given, the anti smoking nuts would still chimp like niggers.

Thats the trouble I'm having. I can't seem to explain it clearly enough to the old fucks that it's not smoke. I guess I'm just gonna have to ban them as well or have them use them in another area. It's tough dealing with the public, they've become so damn stupid.

I hear ya! I'll try to make it short, and you can send me a PM if you want more specifics. The first time around, I spent close to $100 for the kit I got. As I noted before, it really sucked ass. So, I was really wary about blowing more cash as well, but after looking into it and asking questions on the ECF, I spent about $50 this time. I'm totally happy with the gear I got this time! Not sure where you are located, but around here, $50 is about a 10 days worth of cigs; for $50, I won't have a problem going a month on the vaporizer - and that's only for the consumable parts, the battery ($20) should last 6 months, or more. Anyway, if you want more info, send me a PM.

I'll share more info out here, if people are interested.

Yes, that's the dual edged sword that was made when the vaporizers came out. They wanted to attract smokers away from tobacco, so they named them "e-cigarettes"; they are nothing like cigarettes, but now the "cigarette" stigma has attached to them. There's no smoke, no smell, no second hand smoke, nothing. You could put a sheet up between someone using a vaporizer and the most ardent anti-smoking nazi, and they would never be able to tell that the person 12 inches away from them was using a vaporizer.

Anyway, just gotta go with the flow until people get used to it. Having an separate area might be a good start, and if people are concerned, there's info you can give them that might make them more comfortable with it (let me know, and I'll show you some pamphlets). It's is not tobacco and there is no law against allowing people to use them in your business; you just have to gauge how it will affect your business.

I'm on the e-cigs. Have been for about two weeks. It's not too bad so far, but the first couple of days off the cancer tickets were tough. Had to be done, though.

I just ordered up some more juice, and got some without nic, so I can satisfy the urge without getting too much nic.
