Hey, there are some good things about living in the South!

Take, for instance.... um..... huh.

No, honestly though, I do love the South, as fucked up as that may sound to some. I hate the fucking weather, and of course I hate the niggers, but the South has a very rich history, most (or some of it) is beautiful country, and I have to say I'm proud to be a Southerner.

I live in Mississippi, and I have to say, this state kind of sucks. But I'm from Louisiana, and I love that state. I've vacationed in Tennessee many times, and that's probably some of the best weather (in the caves anyway) and the most beautiful country I've ever seen. I've been all through the Virginias and the Carolinas, and I enjoyed them too, and I even like Georgia, with the exception of Apelanta. That place can burn in hell.

You can't deny that the South used to be an extremely proud region back in the day, and people back then stood up for their land, families, values and beliefs. Of course, those days are over, but what the hell, it is what it is.

My wife (who posts on here as Chalkie) and I just found out the other day that some of her ancestors fought in the Civil War and at the Alamo. We even have wills and last testaments from some of her great-great-great (however many fucking times great, I don't know) grandfathers, showing where they handed slaves down to their children as property.

I like the South.

I'm from New York. The politicians here are complete assholes : Andrew "Birdface" Cuomo, Chuck "Economy Destroyer" Schumer and Kirsten "The Cunt" Gillibrand to name a few. What about N.Y. state Republicans ? Just Democrats by another name. The whole bunch needs to go in the woodchipper. The New Yorkers who elect them need a beating.

Massachusetts is full of the same kind of politicians and the assholes who elect them. They voted for the Kennedy's, Dick "The Liar" Blumenthal and Elizabeth "You Didn't Build That" Warren.

My ancestors and relatives were all from the Holyoke area, which is now like Africa.

I've fished bluefin tuna out of Gloucester, P-town and Harwich, where the cold-shoulder from everyone is standard operating procedure. A complete absence of a sense of humor seems to be an epidemic on Cape Cod. Those stiffs make the Hampton-ites look almost life-like.

My parting shot is this : I've driven a lot of miles in a lot of places, but I have never seen such a bunch of senseless, dog-eat-dog, no-mercy cocksuckers behind the wheel. No wonder gun laws are strict there or half the drivers would shoot the other half at those goddamn traffic circles. The way these passive-aggressives are genuinely shocked when you offer to tune-up their face is astounding. I can't say anything good about NY traffic, but there are far fewer narcissists and sociopaths. I stay away from driving in Mass. if I can help it. I hate Dennis Leary also.

It is effectively impossible to own a weapon of any type in Massachusetts and remain within the law. I have friends who shoot high-power competitive rifle in New Hampshire. Occasionally they have to travel through Mass. on the way to shoots in other states. They must disassemble their rifles essentially down to components to get them through Mass., and then obtain a permit to transport gun parts.

Mass. posts State Troopers on roads that cross the New Hampshire border to stop any car that looks like it might be returning from New Hampshire with merchandise. Given that NH has no sales tax, Mass. seems to think their good and law-abiding citizens might try to sneak a TV across state lines to avoid paying their fair share into the welfare pool.

And of course there was their well-loved murderer Ted Kennedy. No matter what else you say about Massachusetts, they do have the best politicians that money can buy.
