Disclaimer: I am not blaming antidepressants for homicidal behavior. I just think that this is interesting information.

the problem is that instaed of confronting our problems or teaching our children how to cope with adversity, we take a pill and forget about it.

There is no doubt that these types of medications have side effects. There is also no doubt that these meds cannot be substantially linked in any way, shape or form to all of these incidents. Also, more than 30 million people take them. I do not think we have endured 30 million of these types of cases.

I am not endorsing their use, misuse, or non-use. I am simply saying that we all need to stop trying to figure out what goes wrong in these rare cases. Niggers kill all over the place and they are not on any meds (Well, legal ones anyway).

As the population increases, the number of people with a fuse blown also increases. Whether they are classified as depressed, anxious, stupid, easy to manipulate, addicted to drugs or alcohol, just a normal nigger, or be the father of the year like the BTK killer, nothing will prevent future incidents.

I pray to never be in the wrong place at the wrong time. There is nothing else I can do.

I don't like this thread so I'm going to take some pills.

I've said this from the start.

    Red Lake shooting = medicated
    Columbine shooting = medicated
    Aurora theater = medicated
    Newtown = medicated (reported)

Several medical studies have also found a direct and proportionate correlation to antidepressants and Autism. IN the case of nigger this does not compute since niggers are all brain damaged from millennia of inbreeding combined with jenkum, crack or other forgotten substances.

That website is complete bullshit. Modern medicine is the best thing since sliced bread and SSRI's are getting better with less side effects.

These people had a lot of problems even before the medication. The thing with SSRI's is they can give you more energy and thus you can act upon your delusional thoughts instead of just sitting around or sinking into depression; they can also induce mania in those with Bi-Polar disorder.

Do you have URL links to double-blind, placebo-controlled studies that are peer-reviewed?

Pretty much this. Of course a correlation exists between medication and crime. Those who are socially or intellectually inept are the highest risk factor for crime like this. They are also at the forefront of psychological research and medication at the behest of their caregivers and practitioners. We all have a violent side but not all of us face the same personal or social adversity. So it rarely surfaces in the majority of people. Sure we deal with frustrations. But our intelligence in spotting solutions and peer circles see us through those frustrations rather smoothly.

It is a hard thing to explain to someone who has a good life and a good peer circle around who understand them. Imagine having none of that. Literally nothing but your empty life and a computer. On top of that being powerless to find a solution to your woes. You'd probably be at the very least depressed.

You are correct. And to add a point, modern times have dramatically increased the strain on people's mental status'. People have different tolerance levels and all cope differently. Also, research does show that many people who are on a medical protocol, were taking their medications as instructed, and received the proper follow-up care, they did very well. Many times when people blow up, you will see a pattern where many of them stopped going for treatment, stopped taking their medications, thus increasing the likelihood of a schizoid episode. I do not know if any these cases linked to medication were possibly caused by one of them stopping their medications prior to the incident.

I think the Andrea Yates case personifies this. She was the mother of 5 children, diagnosed with serious mental illness, was put on Haldol and responded very well. However, when she was pregnant with her 5th child, she stopped taking the medication.

"She then stopped taking medication, mutilated herself, and read the Bible feverishly. She also stopped feeding her youngest child, Mary.[7] Yates became so incapacitated that she required immediate hospitalization. On April 1, 2001 she came under the care of Dr. Mohammed Saeed. She was treated and released. On May 3, 2001, she degenerated back into a "near catatonic" state and drew a bath in the middle of the day; she would later confess to police that she had planned to drown the children that day, but had decided against doing it then. She was hospitalized the next day after a scheduled doctor visit; her psychiatrist determined she was probably suicidal and had filled the tub to drown herself.[11][10]

Psychiatrists on both sides of the fence had different views. No one has been able to understand the side effects of these medications.

"Yates continued under Dr. Saeed's care until June 20, 2001, when Rusty left for work, leaving her alone to watch the children against Dr. Saeed's instructions to supervise her around the clock.[12] Rusty's mother, Dora Yates, had been scheduled by him to arrive an hour later to take over for her. In the space of that hour, she drowned all five children.[13] She started with the youngest boys, and after drowning them in her bathtub, laid them in her bed. She then drowned Mary, whom she left floating in the tub. Her oldest son, Noah, came in and asked what was wrong with Mary. He then ran, but she soon caught up with him and drowned him. She then left him floating in the tub and laid Mary in her brothers' arms. Afterwards, she called the police. Then she called Rusty, saying only “It’s time” repeatedly."

Chilling case. I think it can be easily understood how we all cope differently. It is probably controversial to say it, but I think underneath this mystery is another intelligence argument. Some people just don't have the solutions to their predicament. Some women aren't cut out to be mothers or wives. Same is true of fathers and husbands. It could be that she went further into this role, which could not be undone and became more and more depressed and dysfunctional. I read that she was interested in suicide at 17.

If you think of it that way. If a kid is disinterested in life at 17, how disinterested are they going to be when bills are due and work must be done to keep shelter, food and happiness for others? The simpler minded folks among us who aren't cut out for adult life are most likely to kill themselves and in the process, sometimes, those around them. In this way, it is related to nigger behavior. Just a lot more subtle due to the IQ jump.
