Possible job in DC

Just got out of school in May, and have been home with parents since August. It fucking sucks. But I finally got something going down in DC, and Im told that I will be hired. Well see though. Anyway, all the apartments I see look expensive as shit, except of course the niggerdoms scattered about. Where's a good place to live for someone in the 45-50K salary range? I'm saving, so less than a thousand a month in rent is ideal. Willing to commute up to an hour each way. Any ideas?

Try Springfield or south Alexandria Virginia. Rents are a little lower because there are lots of Latinos, Middle Easterners, and Asians but these folks generally aren't out to cause people problems. There are some but not too many nogs. Shall issue CCW keeps everyone pretty polite. There is easy Metro access if you want to take public transport into DC.

Look in Virginia near the Metro routes. Avoid DC and Maryland for safety / tax consequences.

I haven't lived there in over 17 years-But from what I remember two other towns in VA. that are reasonable are Arlington and Annandale-Both with metro access.

There are some VERY fuxxated parts of Alexandria, so look around well before settling in. I spent one summer in Falls Church and thought it was great - easy Metro access, easy access to I-66, and you can even pick up the bike trail along the canal right into Georgetown.
