Target In Facebook Murder-For-Hire Case Shot Dead

London Eleye, 20, posted on Facebook in May offering a “stack” to whoever would “kill [her] baby father.” A stack is street slang for $1,000 and Timothy Bynum, 18, took her up on the Facebook murder-for-hire offer.

Police learned about the situation and searched Bynum’s home. They found a .22 caliber handgun and Eleye and Bynum (pictured) have been in jail since their arrests on June 12.

Corey White, the 22-year-old father, testified at an initial hearing against them two weeks ago.

Hours after another hearing for them on Monday, White was shot dead a few blocks away from where he lived in West Philadelphia while the pair was in custody, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Gulfport woman accused of stabbing boyfriend Attack is city’s ninth homicide for 2011


GULFPORT -- A woman accused in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend Sunday has received a $500,000 bond on a murder charge.

At least nine homicides have been reported in Gulfport this year.

Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray set the bond after police took Bertha Mae Wilson into custody in connection with the stabbing of 36-year-old Marcus Spencer at William Bell Apartments.

Man enters plea in Break Time killing

A second man accused of involvement in the October killing of a Kansas City, Kan., man in the parking lot of a Break Time convenience store has entered a plea in the case.






Yesterday, Patrick Rashod Marshall, 18, of St. Louis pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery and armed criminal action in connection with the death of 22-year-old Aaron Hobson, who was shot Oct. 23 in a Break Time parking lot at 110 E. Nifong Blvd.

Marshall’s plea comes after the man police suspected of being the triggerman, Daron Peal, 24, pleaded guilty July 28 to second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Execution date set for Huntsville convenience store clerk killer

MONTGOMERY, Alabama - The Alabama Supreme Court Tuesday set an execution date next month for a Huntsville man convicted in the 1994 execution-style murder-robbery of a convenience store clerk.

The Supreme Court announced that Derrick O'Neal Mason, 37, will be put to death by lethal injection at Holman Prison on Sept. 22.

Arrests made in deadly Canton home invasion

CANTON, Ohio - Canton police have arrested four teens who they say killed a man during a weekend home invasion.

Authorities said Melvin Hope, 61, was shot multiple times inside his home on 11th Street NW during a home invasion on Sunday.

He later died at a local hospital.

Five people charged in Akron fight turned shooting that left one woman dead

AKRON, Ohio - Police in Akron arrested five people from a shootout during a party that left one woman dead.

The fight turned shooting happened at 1221 Everton Dr. on Friday. Police said Brielle Robins, 18, was killed after being shot in the chest. Several other people were also shot during the incident at the Spring Hill apartment complex.

Tampa man charged with second-degree murder

TAMPA - With assistance from U.S. Marshals, Tampa police arrested a man connected with a fatal stabbing on June 29.

Charles Edward Chambers, 36, faces charges of second-degree murder for fatally stabbing 49-year-old Nelson Carillo at his home, located at 4008 East Paris Street.

Investigators linked Chambers to the murder by collecting blood samples at the scene. Police say Chambers also stole jewelry from Carillo and pawned it off.

Roanoke man sentenced for blow that proved fatal for girlfriend

Rickshell Jones died of bacterial meningitis from a broken eye socket shortly after her boyfriend beat her.
A Roanoke man admitted that he beat and accidentally killed his girlfriend last spring, and was sentenced to eight years in prison Tuesday in Roanoke Circuit Court.

Darryl Dennard Thompson, 22, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in an agreement that dropped a charge of second-degree murder in the slaying of Rickshell Jones, 20.

Phoenix woman convicted of murder in baby's death


PHOENIX - A jury has convicted a Phoenix woman of second-degree murder in the death of her newborn baby, who was dumped in a trash bin alive.

Twenty-five-year-old Brittany Williams was found guilty by a Maricopa County jury on Tuesday. She faces 35 years in prison at her sentencing, set for Sept. 23.
