One arrested after man found shot to death in Toccoa

.TOCCOA, Ga. — One man has been arrested after another man described as a roommate was found shot dead in a mobile home park.

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley identified both the victim and the man that has been arrested in the fatal shooting.


The sheriff also said, “When deputies responded down there, they observed a black male walking from one neighbor’s yard at a fast pace and (he) went into the trailer. We immediately called for back-up and we cordoned the area off and tried to talk him out. We knew he was in there. We tried to get him to come out, but he would not. We were able to get a key from his renter and we entered and found the suspect laying on the bed and found a body partially in the bedroom and (partially) in the hallway.”

Saginaw County District Court has an arrest warrant charging Roberson with an open count of murder or, in the alternative, felony murder, assault with intent to commit armed robbery, and three firearm felonies related to July 12 homicide of Ernie Griffin Jr. Roberson stands 5 feet 8 inches, weighs 180 and has black hair and brown eyes. He also is known as “Corn” and “Corey.”

Detroit Police Have Made an Arrest in Killing of Girl, 5

Police made an arrest in the killing of a Detroit girl who was reported missing by her mother on Sunday, hours after her strangled, beaten and burned body was found in an abandoned house that had been set ablaze.

Mariha Smith, 5, disappeared from her home early Sunday morning, the same day that emergency responders and investigators found the body of a little girl, burned beyond recognition, inside an abandoned home about a mile from the Smith residence, ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV in Detroit reported. DNA test results eventually revealed the body was indeed that of Mariha Smith.

Judge gives no bond to man accused of fatally beating 2-year-old boy

An Orlando man accused of beating his girlfriend's 2-year-old son to death will remain in the Orange County Jail without bond, a judge ruled Friday.

Bosichell Radford, 26, was arrested Thursday on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and domestic-violence battery.

Victim of Dover Assault Dies

Dover, Del. — A 59-year-old man who was assaulted August 2 at his Rodney Village Apartment had died, according to Delaware State Police.

Lamont D. Harris Sr. was pronounced dead at the Christiana Hospital on Friday. Police announced Sunday that the suspect, Deshaun J. Harris, is wanted for second-degree murder.

IMPD Searching for Homicide Suspect

Metro Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a homicide from nearly two months ago.

IMPD Officer Kendale Adams says the suspect is wanted in connection with the homicide in the 4000 block of North Gateway Court on June 29th. The victim was identified as 38-year-old Manvel Bethea.
