Police said Officer Patrick Apoian was making a traffic stop near College and Sisson avenues early Thursday night when the driver, Edwards, tried to get away and ended up dragging Apoian. Police sources told Channel 2’s Ryan Young they wanted to question Edwards about a stolen iPhone. They said the GPS on the phone lead them to Edwards.

The man was fatally shot right in front of a row of homes, but police said they are having a hard time getting information. The man was walking on the sidewalk when police said one, maybe two men, shot and robbed him.

Gerald Johnson told Petchenik that he came home from work and noticed a window screen crumpled up behind his apartment and the window broken. That’s when he knew something was wrong. Johnson said the burglar made a B-line for his laptops, but that wasn't all. “They took apple juice out of my refrigerator. I’m still discovering things that I’m missing,” said Johnson. Investigators said they've arrested Travis O'Neal Christian.

"We were told at that time, there had been an incident the day before where a father said this subject touched his son. Unfortunately, we were unable to identify who this father was so we can get the particulars of what happened that day," said Lee.

Officers received a call late Friday night about an armed man refusing to leave a unit in the Mountain Springs Apartments on Sheppard Road. Investigators said SWAT teams entered the home and realized the man had escaped. Several hours earlier, police said that man threatened someone else in the apartment with a shotgun. The victim managed to get away after stabbing the gunman and called police.
