SPOOK PARENTS LOVE CHEATING MORE THAN LEARNING
http://www.wsbtv.com/news/28551281/detail.htmlATLANTA -- Channel 2 Action News has uncovered allegations that some parents and students at one southwest Atlanta school knew all about cheating in one particular classroom and tried to take advantage of it. Investigators stated in the CRCT cheating scandal report that Dunbar Elementary fifth-grade teacher Gloria Ivery supplied her classes with test answers in 2009 and other years, too. They concluded that the odds of wrong-to-right erasures in Ivey's 2009 classes were more than a trillion to one. "Parents requested that their children be placed in Ivey's class because she would give students the answers to the CRCT," investigators wrote after interviewing one teacher. The report states Ivey denied all the allegations of cheating. When investigators asked her why her CRCT test scores dropped so dramatically in 2010 when teachers were under more scrutiny, the report states, "she blamed it on the students. Ivey said her students in 2010 were not as bright as her students in 2009."
