(CNN) -- Seven people, including one child, were killed Thursday in two shootings in Grand Rapids, Michigan, according to police spokesman Jon Wu.
Police say they believe the two shootings are related.
The suspect, identified as Rodrick Dantzler, 34, may have known individuals at both locations, according to Wu.
