Woman confronts robber and is shot
One robbery victim's boldness may have led to her getting shot early yesterday in the city's Fairhill section, police said.
At an unknown time and location on Saturday, a 22-year-old woman was robbed by an unidentified assailant, police said.
Sometime after the robbery, about 12:30 a.m. yesterday, the victim spotted her attacker on Clearfield Street near 7th and approached him about the robbery.
In response, police said, the robber shot the woman once and fled. A cop on foot patrol at the time heard the shot and found the woman bleeding from her abdomen.
She was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition and immediately had surgery, police said. Police were unable to interview her because she was in surgery for much of the day.
The only description they have of the gunman is that he was a black, about 17, man wearing all-black clothing.

Her courage should be a testament to us all that "Yes we can .. fight back!"The inferior negro should be subjugated to the superior races. The small and frail negro mind boughs under the stress of equality creating much suffering to the negro. The suffering negro, will act out of his malaise, commiting vile and heinous crimes and misdemeanors.
Let us now, in good conscience, come to the aid of the negro and enslave him for his own good. The negro has shown his distaste for freedom by his rapes, murders, larceny and wanton acts of debauchery.
