The Who playing around with a Beach Boys tune. It may not be the best cover, but it is funny as hell to watch one of the greatest rock guitar players and drummers fooling around.

Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm. They did it so much better than Michael Jackson and mocked him throughout their video.
I also have another favorite cover but it's likely to get me thrown out of here. LOL

I like the Foo Fighter's version of "Baker Street"

Seriously though that is TERRIBLE.
Best cover I can think of is The Animals cover of "House of the Rising Sun." I believe that was originally a folk song, but I'm not completely sure of that.
