    Default Nod 32 AV

I think this is one of the best AV programs on the market. I use it on all of my machines and machines I work on.

    I've used nod32 before.
I use Zone Alarm Internet Security 2008 now. It has AV, 3 firewalls, anti-phishing, etc, etc, etc, all for $39.95/year.

Nod32 is a very good program. If you go to www.newegg.com you can sometimes snag a good deal on stuff. I bought my copy of Nod32 for 19.99.

Zonealarm make a pretty good software firewall (I use it myself), but honestly, their AV is rather poor.

Being new here I'm not sure I should say it. If it's against the rules just delete this post.

Kaspersky pwns Nod32 for detection rates and lack of false positives.
If you love Nod, you'll sex yourself over Kaspersky.

Kaspersky is a very good program. But they seem to have to overhaul frequently.
I belong to a couple of computing sites and when the subject of the "best AV" comes up it tends to turn into a very heated discussion. So in my opinion if the program someone uses feels good and does what it should for you, then by all means keep using the one you're comfortable with.

They're both excellent with good heuristics,NOD32 usually detects more wild viruses but also has a higher level of false positives, I guess better safe than sorry by many people's definition.
