A teenager died yesterday more than two days after being knifed up to 13 times by a gang of hooded youths.
Ailton Campos was chased by at least five thugs on bikes before being beaten and stabbed in the early hours of Sunday as he returned home from a night out.
Witnesses told how wounded Ailton, 16, knocked desperately on house doors for help before collapsing in a pool of blood.
He died in hospital yesterday with his devastated family by his side.
Grieving pals wept at the murder scene, in East Ham, East London, as they saw his dried blood still smeared on two front doors. One said: "We can't believe he's gone."
It was not clear last night what sparked the attack, but it is believed to have been gang-related.
Ailton was the 14th teenager to meet a violent death in London this year and the tenth to die in a stabbing. No arrests have been made.
