I recently decided to return to school to get some more training to help me in my job quest (by the way, I am unemployed, but never have asked for or received a dime in unemployment or welfare.) I went to interviews at several local community colleges and vocational training schools, most of them with high percentage of blacks. I was horrified! As an older person (I guess I grew up in a time of different expectations.) I could not believe how most of the students and even the staff acted and were dressed. I wore semi dress pants, dress shirt and tie. Most of the blacks had saggy pants, gang apparel, dirty dreadlocks and weird hairdos, low cut dresses, tons of tattoos, tight tank tops and low cut, tight jeans, flip flops, weirdly painted finger and toe nails, gold jewelry and worse. (Sorry no gold teeth.) There were crying, screaming pickaninnies as well. Even the more "educated" blacks spoke with ebonics. It was like a freak show.
I did some research at these institutes and found that almost all of the black students go on free federal money and subsidized loans, a high percentage quickly drops out and there are lots of special privileges for blacks. These schools appear to be in business to get the federal money regardless if someone should go to college or not.
I have always felt that if you want a chance at success, you must work, act and dress accordingly.
I will be going to school on line, or hopefully, find a school that has a more serious academic atmosphere.
