Man charged with murder in pawn shop robbery death

An Oakbrook Terrace man was charged late Wednesday in connection with an attempted robbery that left one robber dead, police said.



Preracio Williams, 23, of the 15400 block of West Monterey Drive in Oakbrook Terrace was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of attempted robbery with a firearm, police said.

On the afternoon of June 8, three men entered Fullerton Pawners at 5900 W. Fullerton Ave. and attempted to rob the establishment with a firearm, police said. The owner of the pawn shop opened fire on the men, killing one of them.

The pawn shop owner has not been charged with any crime. Williams has been charged with murder because someone died during the course of the robbery, said Police News Affairs spokesman Officer Hector Alfaro.

Williams was arrested by police on Tuesday and identified as being one of the robbers, Alfaro said. He had no other details of the arrest, and did not know if the third robber was in custody, saying the investigation was ongoing.

The man shot dead during the robbery, identified as Michael McMillion, had a 2006 robbery conviction and was sentenced to boot camp, according to court records.

Williams is scheduled to appear in bond court Thursday morning.

I know I have read about a nog or two attempting to rob gun shops. I think that takes the cake in nigger-stupidity, but pawn shop is definitely up there.

There is no limit to nigger stupidity. Back in '92 about half a dozen niggers tried the holdup thing at an all night eatery. No big deal except just about everybody knew the place was the local "donut shop". Said coons entered the premises after having breezed past over half a dozen vehicles parked outside, that were fairly noticable to anyone with eyes given their bright yellow paintwork and South African Police insignia. They didn't know what hit them.
