I was on Facebook this evening when I received a message from a good female friend of mine. The first letter of her first name has been changed.

P: Some guy asked me if I was a redditor today in the elevator...smoooth pickup line duuuuude.

Me: WTF WHAT A COCKJOCKEY What prompted him to ask you that? Were you giving him a look of disapproval or talking about narwhals in excess?

P: He told me I looked like a "cool new nurse"...."thanks." "I bet you don't mess around with Digg, you like Reddit, don't you?"

Me: He was testing you. You should've hopped on it. What a stud. Seriously. Wow.

P: I smiled at him and told him I had a round of assessments to go do.

Me: pwned

P: It was a good smile.

Me: Oooh. What did he look like?' Did he have the appropriate swagger whilst he spoke of nerdy things?

P: HE HAD A BEARD

Me: I don't know what that means.

P: He was okay. I think he might have been too nerdy to be concerned with the swagger...although he was pretty confident when he fed me that line.

Me: Was he an intern? Did you exchange names?

P: His name is Lane. It was on his name tag. He looked to be some type of med student.

Me: Have you seen him before, do you think?

P: I was busy, busy, busy. He caught me off guard. I don't remember having seen him before, but that doesn't mean anything. I may see him again someday, maybe not. :):)

Well Lane, thanks to your ridiculous pick-up line and apparent confidence, she's interested. My only goal with this post is to make you aware of that. Good luck.
