A third man is wanted for kidnapping and raping a young mother

FOREST, MS (WLBT) - Scott County authorities are on the hunt Wednesday for a man accused of raping and kidnapping a young mother at gunpoint.

He's has been on the run for a week, but according to authorities his two accomplices are behind bars.

17-year-old Devontae Hughes and 18-year-old Damion Pace, both of Lake, were charged with capital rape, kidnapping, extortion and breaking and entering after Scott County law officers said the two abducted a woman and her infant son from their home.

Scott County Sheriff Mike Lee said Hughes and Pace broke into the back of the woman's Goodhope community home on the night of April 14th.

"They targeted that house, unfortunate for the victim. She was not the intended victim," said Lee.

The sheriff said three men went to the house with plans of robbing a previous resident of money and drugs.

Instead they found the new homeowner, a woman in her twenties alone with her child.

"They had asked several questions which she did not have answers to, took them away where she was sexually assaulted, and they forced her to call relatives for money as a ransom," said Lee.

Investigators said she was taken to the nearby Johnsontown community and was raped twice.

WLBT learned that the kidnappers asked for a $2,000 ransom but released her after receiving $500.

The unnamed woman was taken to a Newton County hospital where law officers notified Scott County investigators.

The victim identified the two arrested men, and police said she recognized her surroundings which helped them gather substantial physical evidence.

23-year-old Darrian Wilson, also of Lake, was identified as the third man.

The victim told officers she went to school with him and pointed him out in a year book.

Deputies also searched an abandoned house on Johnsontown Toad after receiving a tip but did not find Wilson there.

Investigators believe he is still in the area.

The sheriff said one of the three men did not participate in the sexual assault, and he did not identify that suspect.

A $500 reward is being offered for Wilson's capture.

Hughes and Pace were charged as adults and are being held without bond.

I have my doubts about the victim being black - How many nigger famblies can come up with $500 that fast ? How many nigger famblies acutual consider one of their fambly members to be worth $500 ? I once had a nigger bitching at me about how much it cost to bury his four children. If I lost my kids, I would be in the nuthouse or praying in a church, not bitching about how much it cost to bury them. Of course, the guy was probably just trying to rip me off. But, the fact that he would even use that as a ruse says something.
