A brawl in the parking lot of a bar Sunday resulted in the arrest of two women, authorities said.
A private party held at Berkley’s Bar and Grill on South Amherst Highway was broken up by the bar’s management after someone called 911 to complain about the loud noise, the Amherst County Sher-iff’s Office said.
As the patron left the restaurant, a large fight involving a number of participants and about 200 onlook-ers began in the parking lot, a news release said. Some were climbing on cars, dancing and yelling.
The brawl grew so large that the Lynchburg Police Department was called in to help the four Amherst County deputies on duty that night.
The two women who began fighting — Tiffany Nicole Parker, 20, and Kamile Una Cheatham, 20, both of Lynchburg — were arrested and charged with assault and battery, disorderly conduct and underage pos-session of alcohol.
Both were transported to the Amherst County Jail and released on bond.
