Charleston police have charged a 30-year-old NIGGER BUCK in connection with a stabbing early Friday on America Street.
Officers responded to Johnson and America streets at 5:55 a.m. and found 43-year-old Jimmie Harris of Charleston lying near the intersection with a stab wound to his right lower back, according to Charles Francis, public information officer. Harris was taken to the Medical University Hospital for treatment, Francis said. His condition was not released.
Police took Michael Anthony Brown of Charleston into custody about 7 a.m. at a Hanover Street home. Brown is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill, Francis said. He is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
Francis said the two men were CHIMPING OUT before the stabbing.
According to a State Law Enforcement Division records check, Brown was convicted in 2001 of possession of a pistol by a person under 21 and was given a five-year suspended sentence and 18 months' probation with the condition that he obtain a high school equivalency diploma and attend vocational school. In 2003, he was convicted on a drug possession charge. His sentence was suspended under the Youthful Offender Act.
