Predator Sexually Assaults Woman in Apartment Complex

Omaha, NE - Police are trying to figure out if another rape could be connected to a serial sex offender.

The attack happened at a woman's apartment near 99th and Y Streets. The victim tells police a man snuck into her apartment through an unlocked sliding glass door and sexually assaulted her.

A recent string of break-ins have Omaha Police warning women to lock their doors and windows. Several women in different areas of the city are reporting similar stories. One rape victim tells Action 3 News a man snuck in through an unlocked door at her home near 42nd and Fontenelle. He raped her at gunpoint.

Other women say a man snuck into their homes late at night, and fondled himself in front of them. Each victim admits that she forgot to lock her doors.

Police are not saying for sure if all of the cases are connected. Both women who were sexually assaulted say the attacker was a black male.
