By Eyewitness News staff Video BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Anthony Ray Graham Jr. has been found guilty of raping a woman after kidnapping her and her child from outside Babies "R" Us.
A Kern County Superior Court jury handed in its verdicts Monday afternoon, about a year and one month after Graham abducted a 31-year-old woman and her 11-month-old child from the parking lot of a Rosedale Highway shopping center. He forced the woman to drive to an ATM to withdraw money and then raped her in her car while they were parked at the nearby Fruitvale Junior High School.
The jury deliberated for three days before finding Graham guilty on two kidnapping charges, a charge of rape by force or fear, and a charge of oral copulation by use of force or injury.
A mistrial because of a hung jury was declared for two of the charges, which were sexual penetration with force and possession of a firearm by a felon.
The judge said in court Monday that Graham could be retried on the two charges that resulted in a hung jury.
Graham faces a prison sentence of 25 years to life.
