The sad part
The sad part is that the white man tried to provide him an honorable out. He said he was not predjudiced, he attempted to remove himself from the situation, and only struck back after being hit. And all of the black women on the bus, who were cheering and egging the black man on to fight him, once they saw that the white man was not going to be a victim or prey, they changed their tune.
