CLEVELAND (AP) — The man who famously put down his Big Mac to help rescue three women held captive for a decade in an Ohio house will never have to pay for another burger in his hometown.
Charles Ramsey has been promised free burgers for life at more than a dozen Cleveland-area restaurants.
The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer (http://bit.ly/10SPuf4 ) reports that the restaurant where Ramsey worked as a dishwasher initially created a special burger in his honor, but eateries in the city decided a larger tribute was due.
Ramsey was called a hero after helping Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight break out of the house May 6. Ariel Castro is now facing charges.
The newspaper says Ramsey was traveling and would get his "Chuck Card" when he returns.

Army Brigadier General Bryan T. Roberts, the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Training Center and Fort Jackson, located in Fort Jackson, S.C., is being investigated for adultery and for being involved in a physical altercation, the Army announced Tuesday. Roberts has been suspended from his duties. The altercation allegedly involved Roberts and an unidentified woman he is now being investigated for muh-dikkin. The two were apparently involved in a recent argument. While making up, Roberts allegedly bit the woman’s lip, causing her to seek medical help.

Garcia was on stage at the European Tour awards dinner Tuesday, where he was asked by Steve Sands of the Golf Channel, in jest, if he would be inviting Woods over for dinner during the U.S. Open. Garcia’s reply was shocking.


“We will have him round every night. We will serve fried chicken.”


Garcia later apologized in a statement released by the European Tour, saying that he did not mean the remark to be racist.

“I apologise for any offence that may have been caused by my comment on stage during The European Tour Players’ Awards dinner. I answered a question that was clearly made towards me as a joke with a silly remark, but in no way was the comment meant in a racist manner.”

Mary J. Blige’s financial troubles have gotten a whole lot worse. The singer has reportedly been hit with a $3.4 million bill on top of the $900K she already owes the state of New Jersey.

TMZ reports that the IRS has filed a tax lien against the Grammy winner claiming that she’s avoided her income taxes for 2009 ($574,907.30), 2010 ($2,203,743.53) and 2011 ($647,604.60), putting her total owed to the government at a staggering $3,426,255.43.

Making matters worse, last May The Post first reported that Blige’s New York-based charity, set up to empower women, had not filed tax returns, had hundreds of thousands of dollars in missing donations, and had defaulted on a $250,000 TD Bank loan.

At the time, Blige said “The problem is that I didn’t have the right people in the right places doing the right things.”

Seahawks backup quarterback Josh Portis faces arraignment next week after being arrested on May 5 on suspicion of driving under the influence. He has been charged with a misdemeanor.

About 9: 30 p.m. that day, a Washington State Patrol trooper pulled over Portis on the express lanes of the Interstate 90 floating bridge after clocking the Range Roger he was driving at 80 mph as it left the Mount Baker Tunnel eastbound, in a 60-mph zone, according to a police report.

When the trooper stepped up to Portis’ window, according to the report, there was “a strong odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle” and Portis had “watery bloodshot eyes.”
