Residents in one east side Detroit niggerrhood said they're fed up with crime in their area and want the city of take action before they take matters into their own hands.
"We need a police station in our area, that would help. That's the first step," said resident James Jackson.
The Jefferson-Chalmers Homeowners Association is pushing for its own police precinct, which residents said will hopefully stand right in the heart of the neighborhood.
"I heard 'rat tat tat tat tat,' sparks fly and one of the bullets went through my pillow," said resident Ann Johnson. "If I had been lying on my left side, I wouldn't be here today. (Is the boon telling what happened, or is it laying down a phat rhyme 'bout da hood?)
The association has also drafted a letter to city council, which states they stand behind Alvin Davis.
Davis, an agent for the Department of Homeland Security, has been charged in connection with launching an unauthorized investigation into four people accused of stealing from his mother's home, which is in the neighborhood.
He has been charged with multiple counts of unlawful imprisonment, bribery and intimidating and interfering with a witness.
Residents said the association is looking into working with the Detroit Police Department to change a policy that would allow DPD officers to work as security in their off time within the neighborhood and city limits.(SO DA PO-PO BE RAYCIST AND SHEET' BUT NOW THEY'RE SUPPOSE TO SPEND THEIR OFF TIME PROTECTING THE HOOD??????????????????????????????)
"I'd like to see them out working in the community, working for block clubs and neighborhood associations," said council member Gary Brown.
DPD said they are looking into the possibility of opening up a station in the area and have already been looking at buildings.
