This sounds like an interesting book. McCarthy has been so very maligned over the years--I don't think I ever heard the MSM ever say anything good about him. He's always been portrayed more or less as a monomaniac, crazy and obsessed with finding communists under every rock and in every corner. I don't think I've ever heard or seen the other side to any of this.
