It looks like Tom's learning about paying full price for a website, for once!
Niggermania has been under constant DOS attack for the last two months and we need to seriously upgrade our protection and security levels if we are to continue.
The cost of protecting us is $340 per month if we want to stay up about 50% of the time and $799 a month to keep us going all the time. This added cost is the result of massive DOS attacks that we've been getting every since our old host, Jon Felosi, threatened to do so. We are also getting an increased number of email complaints and call in complaints to our new host (but only the one where the forum is located) and security team calling our site everything from immoral to illegal. And I'm sure many of you are aware that several ex members have started a smear campaign against me and some others at Niggermania.
In short, this is war and there is a co-ordinated and concentrated effort to shut down Niggermania.
We need to fight back. Matter of fact, not only do we need to fight back, we should use this an opportunity to bullet-proof our site from these ridiculous attacks and expand Niggermania at the same time. We can nominate a full time treasurer for one thing and organize efforts to expand our membership. At the time our domains were stolen, we had 2,000 members and when we restarted for just a few days, we were building back up at the rate of 25 per day and reached 300 members. At 2,000 members, the cost to bullet proof our site is less than 50 cents a month a piece. Too bad that I didn't save the email list of when we had 2,000 members but I'm sure that once we get going and push membership drives, we can get up to 4 or 5 thousand members quite easily and our monthly costs won't seem that high spread out over more members. Even if we just stick to our hard core, loyal members of 300, the cost is just a little more than $2 each a month. That will put Felosi in his place and we can then carry on with Niggermania and use this as a chance to grow and expand. We will not just fight back and survive, we will expand and grow. I have ideas about merchandise I can donate and give free to our members, more organized membership drives, and we can even host member's domains and put them behind our higher security too (to help pay the monthly cost of the higher security).
We collected $312 when we got going again the last time and that is for dot com to keep going for a year. (it is down now due to a move and security upgrade- they only seem to attack the site that the forum is on). Only about half the people who pledged actually sent money in. Now, we need $799 to get Niggermania going and be bullet proof, once received, they will have us set up within two days with no interruptions. If you're willing to join us in the fight and keep us going, please let me know. I will publish the screen names of the contributors in the forum once we get it going again (unless you wish to remain anonymous). We are using the services of an anti DOS service and the payments go directly to them via credit card, pay pal, or e-builion. They do take money orders but only credit that every Saturday, so money order payments do arrive but they are slow. (I found that out when I first sent them a payment to set us up and for the tech guys to analyze our attacks, that's why it took an extra few days to get us going again).
Let's keep Niggermania going, if everyone pitches in just a little, we can have Niggermania with NO interruptions at all. And we can all give a collective finger to these 'assholes' who are trying to shut us down. Let's use this as an opportunity to tighten up our security once and for all, create a donation structure and ongoing log, recognize our contributing members, create Niggermania merchandise, and even expand our hosted sites. With our added security, we'll be ready for anything and we can get even more controversial.
Please let me know ASAP. The sooner we paypal in, the sooner we can get going. Paypal is most preferred as it's instantaneous and the company prefers it.
