It's a shame because he is a really talented writer. In his Women's Murder Club series, he writes for this pretty blonde reporter Cindy Thomas to date this black pastor. The way that he describes the pastor makes me think that Patterson has homoerotic tendencies. What heterosexual man would describe another man, even fictional, as "strong, kind, muscled, quietly noble"? His niggerloving makes me queasy with the sheer lameness.
He also has another series featuring Alex Cross, a brilliant black FBI agent and former psychologist who happens also to be a dedicated family man and who always has a beautiful white woman falling over herself to be with him. He is truly living in a fantasy world.

That is depressing. Although, the man may just know what sells books these days. On another note- James Patterson is distantly related to my fiance, Joanne . No bullshit. Her father William , the former fire chief of Portland, Oregon, knows the man personally. Jesus Christ this sucks. Forgive me if I do not mention this to Joanne. Although, tongue-in-cheek, if it came down to a $50,000 paycheck for a book if I included a few "politically correct" passages to assuage the general public versus my publisher telling me to go and fuck myself, I may be inclined to "go with flow" for the money if for nothing else. It would taste like shit in my mouth, but with the world as fucked up as it is, who the hell would notice? Or even care?

I don't care for the way things are myself. I find the whole mess distasteful and ugly. But since I cannot change it by myself, and since I like to think of the future of my family, wife and daughter and their financial security, I would consider addiing a few "politically correct" passages to my books. Surprized? Don't be. I am a realist and a survivor.

I went back and deleted the last name of Joanne and her father. Her dad is a very respected member of the Portland community and a successful businessman in his retirement. I would not want my political views to come back on them. That would not be fair, although the Establishment loves things like that. Fucking vultures.
