this guy just rocks; I mean he's such a classic; he was also the voice of the baboon in the Disney version of "the Jungle Book".:rock and, he's a white Italian guy

I've heard him sing also, fantastic voice.
I'm a big fan of Louie's. He was great and he had a great sax man in Sam Butera. Keely Smith is the best known of his female partners (Sonny and Cher ripped their act off and placed it in another context) but there were others (most notably Gia Maione). Also a little known fact is that Louis wrote the jazz standard "Sing, Sing, Sing". In fact Louis was from New Orleans and started out as a New Orleans style jazzbo and a damn good one. Louis rocked like hell before there was a word for it.

Yes!! Keely Smith, a great great female vocalist; you know, it's sad, entertainers like him are part of a bygone era; the likes of which we probably will never see again. RIP, Louis, RIP
