I enjoy his show. He is a great outdoors man, very knowledgeable. But the Discovery channel and its network( History, Military, Science, and so on) have a lock on good programming.

I enjoy Survivorman from time to time.
He doesn't "cheat" like Bear Gryles (sp?) does.
That's what I hear anyway.

Survivorman is cool.I used to like Man vs.Wild better till I found out most of it is bullshit. Still cool to see him doing crazy shit though. Many of these clips are on YouTube. Some of his bullshit here:
